You can find a lot of soundeffects on the sounds-searchengine: FindSounds.

Update: I recently came across Soundsnap.

How can I convert vector drawings to actionscript code?

leave a comment »

This on-line tool extracts shapes from Flash .swf files and returns them in a format which can be rendered by actionscript. This way you can manipulate drawn vector graphics with actionscript.

How do I allow users to change the markup of a text in a protected Word document?

leave a comment »

Using form fields is a good way to create easyly editable Microsoft Word documents. They allow the template user to “tab” through the different fields and fill them out. To make this work however you need to “protect” the document, which means users can not change the markup of the text or spell-check it. Not very nice…

The way to fix this problem is to divide the document into different sections. The sections where the markup and spell-check needs to be active should be unprotected, the sections that need to be “tab-able” should be protected.

To insert a section, go to: Insert > Break > Section Break (Continuous).

To protect individual sections, go to: Tools > Protect Document…
In the first pop-up menu, Select Forms and push the Sections… button.
In the second pop-up menu select the sections you want to protect.

The original and in-depth tutorial can be found here: Protecting selected sections of a document in Microsoft Word 2008 | DaisyOlsen.com.
